MISSION STATEMENT | MEETING INFO.
The Batavia Photography Club was founded by Jim Dusen in the year 1986. It currently has over 30 members, from beginners to more advanced photographers. The club sponsors field trips, schedules speakers, and holds workshops for hands-on learning. Print and slide competitions are held for members who like to compete. The club is also affiliated with the Niagara Frontier Regional Camera Club, of which there are a total of 10 member clubs.

 

MISSION STATEMENT:

 

  • To enjoy, master and improve the art of photography through cooperative sharing, conscientious effort and good fellowship.

  • To encourage membership and develop and carry out a program of mutual photographic interest to its members.

  • To hold regular meetings devoted to photography and encourage high standards of photographic achievement.

MEETING INFORMATION:

Generally, meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Mondays, September through April.  Each meeting begins with a short business meeting at 7pm, with competitions or presentations beginning at 7:30.

Club meetings are now held in the Swanson Room of the NYS Veterans Home in Batavia, 222 Richmond Avenue (at the end of Redfield Parkway, near Tops Market). 

To get to the Swanson Room you turn North (towards the Thruway) off Richmond Avenue in the Main Gate of the Veterans Hospital grounds, then turn right into the first parking lot you encounter.  The main entrance to the Veterans Home is there and the Swanson room is the first
door on the left.
